Benson had an awesome 8th birthday. He wanted a super marios cake so we busted it out and it turned out better than I thought it was going to. He was super excited. He had a wonderful birthday week. We took treats to his class, had a "it's great to be 8" date with Mom where we went out to dinner and picked out his suit for his baptism (which was so fun to be with him-- he makes me laugh and has such a sweet and tender personality), had a family party after his baptism at Chuck-a-Rama, and had fun spoiling him throughout the week! His birthday party was a blast. We played "minute-to-win-it"games, opened presents and had cake and ice cream. He had a lot of friends show up and we partied and played until they had to go home.
We love our Benson bear so much. He brings so much laughter into our home and reminds us of the innocence of childhood. He's imaginative, playful, energetic, smart, coordinated, thoughtful, says the sweetest things to his mom and Kate, and is genuinely a good kid. We love you so Benson and are sooooo grateful to have you in our family.
