So I think this is totally hilarious and have been laughing about it for the past 30 minutes...Benson decided he wanted to stir things up with his brother and so he took some of Reece's game peices to Operation (the game where you try and get the body parts out of the man without touching the metal sides) and threw them down the toliet. He ended it with a big flush...Reece was only seconds behind Benson but the pieces were long gone. Reece is devastated and Benson graciously sat in time out for 3 minutes.
I wish I had a picture of their faces standing around the toliet. Reece was seriously distrought and Benson looked at me with his big brown melting eyes and said sorry--it was so cute I couldn't help but smile.

Heatlh Update
The boys are doing great--both healthy and strong. It's almost been a year since we had our crazy Miller fun day in the hospital. Reece was inpatient at Children's because of an asthma attack, and Benson was in the Endocrines office 2 floors above Reece for his check-up. That day we found out Benson was going to switch from Syringe therapy to the Pump. The next couple months were a roller coaster ride (I was a freak about letting my kids go anywhere because of the H1N1 virus) plus I was adjusting to the idea of having a tube attached to my baby's body for the rest of his life. Lucky for all us, it all worked out, we all survived, and we had awesome friends and nurses in Seattle to help us through it! :)
Benson: his A1C was awesome at our check-up 2 weeks ago (A1C: 7.5. The doctors want it between 7.5-8.5 and the lower the better). I'm not sure how it got to be so good because I felt like the summer was a train wreck with his numbers. He would be super low during swimming lessons and then he would rocket high. It was fun! ;) Lately his numbers have been amazing during the day, and then awful at night. The last two nights have been freaky. 2 nights ago he was 586 at 3:30am and last night he was 419 at 3:30am. The crazy part about it is when he goes to bed he is in the 70's. I don't get it? Anyway, I felt terrible for him last night because when I checked him at 3:30am his bed and body were soaking wet--from his shoulders to his toes. His body was trying to get rid of the sugar and so it pulled water out of his body all night long making him pee like a crazy man. He's also on Claritin again. His ears keep filling up with fluid making his hearing bad and also giving him a constant runny nose.
Reece: 3 weeks ago he had another awful skin infection. He was put on heavy anti-biotics and more steroids. Unfortunately, that's the only way to get rid of his skin infections when they spread throughout his body. Dr. Hanks is our new pediatrician and he is heaven sent! He has done wonders for Reece. We've put Reece on some heavier asthma stabilizers to try and control his asthma and eczema and it's totally worked. We went to the corn maze twice last week and Reece didn't need an inhaler once. We actually haven't used his inhaler for more than a month. Last year at this time he was hospitalized because of an asthma attack. So we are thrilled with his progress. His eczema hasn't come back since we got rid of the infection!! Happy day all is well! Other than that Reece is one happy, fun, lovin' child. Spencer and I have noticed a significant change in his energy level since we got rid of his eczema. I didn't realize how much his eczema was affecting him. Wish I would have noticed that earlier.

Reece's library
Welcome to Reece's library (this is his condensed version--I took at least 14 books away and put them on our bookshelf).

Reece LOVES to read. I took away his library a couple weeks ago (just for one night) and he was seriously heartbroken. It wasn't the usual fake or tired cry, it was like he had lost his best friend cry. Lately, if the boys are being best buds, I let Benson sit on Reece's bed for quiet time. I am pretty sure they feel like they are in heaven. You can hear their little voices saying, "Benson, do you want this book" or "Benson can you share that book with me", or "Reeceee, I want that one". It makes my heart melt listening to them.

Where is Benson?
Benson has some serious talent in finding great hiding places. He loves playing a matching game on Dad's itouch but doesn't get to play very often so he's come up with a new plan. He takes Dad's Itouch off the dresser, hunches into a little ball in the corner of the couch where no one can see him, and plays his game. I laugh everytime I see him because he thinks he is so cleaver--which he is!
$100 dollar a dozen corn
We used their tractor to carry the corn. They are good little (spoiled) workers. My Dad decided he wanted to plant a bunch of corn in our field. His first couple attempts failed due to the horses and cows who thought it was their dinner. After 2 failed attempts he and his friend decided to go all out and make sure the horses and cows couldn't reach his corn. We like to call this corn our "$100 dollars a dozen corn", because that is how much the fence costs to keep the animals away (to clarify--if you were to sell all his corn for a $100 a dozen then he would make money off his corn--not the best investment).

A laundry basket
Laundry day=day of fun in the laundry basketMy boys LOVE it when I do laundry. They come up with a new way to use the baskets every week. This week they spent a WHOLE HOUR reading books and drinking their milk/soy. They have one pillow to lay on, and another to rest their heads on. They shared a blanket and passed books between the two of them. It was a very peaceful and sweet moment in our home.

I worry about what these two are going to come up with as they grow older. They seem to have this "partners in crime" connection between the two of them. They don't have to verbally communicate to know what the other is thinking. Life is always so fun and adventurist with these two. My Mom took Reece to McCall for a night and Benson was devastated. He kept saying, "where's my Reece". He was distraught without his buddy.

Trip to Canada Aug.8th-13th
Before I married Spencer I made sure my birthday lasted at least a week. Every since he came along, my tradition has been destroyed (bitterness...nah)! :)

2004: we went on our first date Aug. 1st and he kissed me that next night. Then he fled like peter pan to Canada for a week. Lucky for me he was already hooked and before he left he ordered 18 pink roses to be delivered to my door on my birthday!
2005: I was pregnant and got to listen to Reece's heartbeat for the fist time! Coolest b-day ever!2006: a Day before the MCAT. Waste of a birthday.
2007: I can't exactly remember--but I'm pretty sure he had to work the whole day. Lame!2008: Moved to Moscow, ID to start Medical school
2009: waterskied with Nick & Paola! Tons of fun. But Spencer missed all the big hints that I was hoping for some kind of party! hehehe. Communication goes a long way! :)2010: 2 days after the USMLE (med boards) and 1 day after our Dunkley Reunion. We decided to spend the day traveling to Canada to his Grandparents cabin.
