The verdict is....

Check out these handsome Ninjas!Who wouldn't want to add one more Ninja to the mix?

They are pretty dang AWESOME!!

And apparently there's another Ninja rolling around inside my belly waiting for it's debut into the Miller Ninja world!! Our ultrasound was VERY clear that another BOY is coming our way! The boys are going to have to squeeze another brother into their Ninja parties! :)

We took the boys to the ultrasound this morning. We also brought my sisters Kristi and Natalie to help with the children. The ultrasound was over an hour long and the boys were awesome. Reece thought seeing it's hands and blood were the best parts. He was pretty happy until they announced it was a boy. He tried to correct them and say it was a sister while Benson was laughing and saying, "it's a brother!!!".

I knew all along it was a boy so I wasn't too surprised. I was pretty anxious this last week and just prayed that it was a healthy baby. So far everything looks really good...relief...I am happy!

Awesome REECE comment...

Boise had the CRAZIEST lightning storm tonight. I can't remember ever seeing lightning bounce from one cloud to the next like it did tonight. It was beautiful and lasted for over an hour. Reece and Benson had been in bed for over an hour and Benson was sound asleep, but Reece was still reading. I was working on my blog book when Reece came running in the room yelling with much excitement "Mom, I just saw big lightning". We went and sat on his window sill and watched it for about 20 minutes. After about 5 minutes he said,

"Mom, if the lightning hits our dead grass, it will catch on fire".

I about wet my pants. We are happy to report we didn't have to make any 911 calls tonight--
but I'm shocked it missed the glowing lawn!

Oh, one more thing....I just got a letter from our HOA giving us a violation. This is what it said:

Violation: noxious use of property
Explanation: it appears the lawn is dead due to lack of not being watered.

Again, I laughed and sent an "explanation" to the HOA!

Father's day/Crazy Benson

Happy Father's Day Spencer!
Top 3 things that make Spence an outstanding Father:

1. He ALWAYS has time for the family: We have always known that we are his 1st priority. He will drop everything to help us when we need it and is looking out for our best interest--he is a very unselfish Father. He's also a ton of FUN!

2. He is a great teacher: Spencer has a talent for teaching. He knows what to say and do to help us understand what he is trying to teach.

3. He killed everything but the peas in our garden: This makes him the BEST father because now his wife doesn't feel so bad about killing the grass which makes the family happier!! :) We learned that gardens only like a little bit of Dunkley maneuver instead of multiple shovel fulls!
A peak into our Funny Father's Day; provided by Benson Miller.

1. 15 minutes before we leave for church Benson pulls out his NINJA moves and starts wrestling Reece. This causes Mom to "yell quietly!" for them to stop so their hair doesn't mess up!

2. I had 2 LARGE bags (Young Women's and sacrament meeting goodies), 2 binders (piano sub for Primary), and scriptures. As we reach the entrance of the Chapel Benson decided to attack Reece with his monster hug. Reece resists and Benson continues attacking. We are now completely blocking the entry way (thanks to all my crap) and since Reece won't give Benson a hug, Benson decided to kiss and hug my baby (meaning my belly bump)! My binder falls to the ground with my scriptures and so as Benson is holding tight onto the baby I am trying to pick everything up. KEEP IN MIND: we are still at the entrance of the chapel and there are TONS of people trying to get inside. We definitely made our very own entrance.

3. The boys went to the stage to sing the Father's day songs. I am playing the piano thinking everything is going swell. I get to the bench when we are done and Spencer is laughing hysterically. Apparently, Benson had the whole congregation LAUGHING (many people commented about him after church). He stood there with his tongue out and monster face dancing to the music. During the 2nd song he decided while dancing to lick Reece's arm from bottom to top. After church I asked him if he was reverent or silly--he was proud to say he was silly. We have some work to do with that child! :)

4. On our way to my Mom's for dinner Reece told Spencer he was speeding. They proceeded to tell him he was going to be put in jail. In a very serious voice, Benson said, "if you go to jail, I'm going to have to get my Ninja out". This is Benson's new phrase for when he wants to threaten someone.

On a positive note: Reece gave the scripture in church and was absolutely adorable. He walked up to the pulpit, opened the Bible, and started reading. He has zero fear when it comes to speaking in the microphone.

Happy Father's day!

Don't you LOVE this awesome family photo? I have yet to get one photo where we all look 1/2 normal. Reece looks like he's picking his nose with his laffy taffy, Benson looks drugged, and I look like a Grandma with saggy "you know what"! Fortunately for us, the photo didn't spoil our Father's day adventure. We took Spencer and his Dad fishing for their Father's Day present in Horseshoe bend. Well...let's correct that. I came up with the big idea and brought lots of food while Spencer and Chad did all the Fishing prep and so forth!! :)
Benson catching a fish. He was quite good at reeling them in!

This is the most precious picture of Reece. He loved fishing and was quite good at it (ok, so the pond was stocked with tons of Blue Gill and it seriously only took 10 seconds for them to bite!).
And then there's Benson. He kept us laughing all day long. This kid was born to put a smile on our faces. I have more stories to tell about this kid at a later time.

The kiddos: Reece, Kylie, Jake, and Benson

One of the many fish we caught.

Notice I am not touching any worms or fish. I just took pictures, ate food, and enjoyed being in the outdoors with the family.

Kylie had the best facial expressions each time she caught a fish.

swimming lessons...& the baby belly!

This is what we have been up to for the past month---swimming lessons! My mom has the best swim school just minutes away from our home!!! We have created two little fish in our family who have become quite confident in the water. It's been fun to watch them progress and be so happy and comfortable in the water. I also got to teach 2 classes last session which I LOVED!!! It's so rewarding teaching kids how to swim. It's an easy way to put a smile on a little munchkins face (as well as the parents!).

Clarissa came to Boise for swim lessons. It was fun having the boys play together. I also thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her and Natalie--they are so FUN!

Check out how ADORABLE Colby is... Benson is FEARLESS and tells everyone that he "swims all by himself". He doesn't realize that swimming by yourself means you can also BREATHE by yourself. He jumps into the pool and starts swimming...he just needs someone to catch him after a couple seconds! :)

For the last two weeks we had a Miller session with all the cousins. Mariam came with her 6 kids (three of the babies are hers--yes they are triplets) and Natalie came with her 4 children. The kids had a blast and enjoyed snow cones after each session

(Thanks to the Dunkley snow shack).

Check out Jake--he gives me the best smiles when I pull out the camera!

I don't have a great pic of Reece, but he is doing AWESOME. He's finally confident in his swimming abilities and can swim beautifully. He loves to throw rings at the bottom of the pool and dive down to retrieve them. And this is me...enjoying the sun. I LOVE LOVE LOVE summer.

Being outside by water makes me happy (although I am usually wishing I could be in the water teaching and watching the munchkins at the same time...to bad I don't have more eyes on my head)
And the belly bump. We find out the gender in ONE week!! Reece and Benson are coming with us and they are so excited. It will be interesting to see Reece's reaction if it's a boy--he tells everyone he really wants a baby sister.

Lets Play Music

Reece participated in a music class that met once a week for the past year called Lets Play Music. It is an impressive program that teaches theory in a fun way and gets the kids to understand the foundations of music and prepares them to do well in music.

Reece had a recital in which he refused to sing in. He would sing the songs at home and request to listen to his cd almost daily, but would NOT SING during his recital.

But, he looked handsome and was still as cute as ever! The support crew--Both Grandmas, Aunt Kristi, and Benson

Soccer

We experienced our FIRST child joining a sports team!! I think I was more excited then Reece, until he had his first game when he realized playing sports is a blast! He was hesitant to play when I told him I signed him up, but after many practices with Dad in the backyard he thought he was an all-star and was ready to play! He had 6 games and scored a couple goals (which he was SUPER excited about). We were surprised to see him get in the middle of a huge pile of kids and come out with the ball. The last two games he figured out how to stop the ball and kick it backwards to change the direction. We enjoyed his sweet, courageous, and competitive spirit. Reece was number 6! Reece looks so big in this picture.
We were lucky to have many sideline cheerleaders throughout the weeks. Both Grandparents were able to make it, as well as many of his Aunts! Thanks for all the support, Fam!
