Byers cabin

Spencer was able to sneak away from school for the weekend and join us for a little trip to the Cabin! Nicki stayed with us Wednesday night and we left Thursday after Spencer finished school. It was a very anticipated vacation! We relaxed...and relaxed....and relaxed some more! I finished the Twilight series which was AWESOME! We went on a paddle boat ride, made a bonfire on the beach, went hot tubing every night, and played lots of games! We also stopped in Coeur D'Alene at our favorite restaurant called Dockside. The food is so yummy and their desserts are irresistible. We were thrilled to pay only $2.25 for GAS!! CRAZY! Just two months ago we were paying $3.78.
The boys are so handsome together!
They make each other laugh constantly.
These are new pajama's courtesy of their Grandma Miller!

Love birds--still cheesy as ever!

WWAMI flag football

Spencer has been playing on a flag football team with a bunch of his WWAMI buddies. By the end of the season they were starting to look pretty good. The boys and I enjoyed watching him--Reece did a good job entertaining everyone off the field. Usually there was one guy on the sideline and Reece would go squat next to him and act like he was part of the game. If he wasn't doing that then he was in his own little world throwing his Frisbee. My favorite part of it was when Spencer would come off the field. Reece would run at full speed yelling "daddy, daddy" and jump into his arms. It was such a precious moment and I always looked forward to it. He's such a daddy's boy.

That's Spencer after he caught the football!
My camera is super slow and took the picture after everyone had cleared.

Another injury to the eye...

Reece is now notorious for having injuries around his eyes. We were at the park yesterday with some friends and he was playing on a teeter-tauter with his buddies having a great time. He then started banging his head back and forth like a crazy little boy and hit himself right in the eye. As you might imagine, that ended our park visit.
A couple hours after the hit
A day later
Reece made a house for each of his cars

My cleaning machine!

The other day Reece got out his little broom and dust pan and started picking things off the floor and throwing them into the garbage. I thought it was hilarious. I guess I need to start cleaning my floor more often. He must think I need some help!

Making apple cider!

Sharron, a lady in the WWAMI office at WSU, has a big orchard on her farm and invited all the med students and their families to pick apples and make apple cider with them. We of course went and had a great time. She let Spencer and Reece ride the "John Deere tractor" which was a highlight for the worlds biggest John Deer tractor fan (Reece).

Cars...cars....and more cars.

Reece is obsessed with cars. He not only carries them around the house, but also eats and sleeps with them. I just woke him up from his nap and he was missing his green car?? I changed his diaper and guess what I found? A green car! He has now convinced Benson that he needs to do the same. See picture below.

Husband Tag
1. What is his name? Spencer Ivan Miller

2. Who eats more? It depends...
Ice Cream-Me Salads-Spencer

3. Who said, "I love you" first? Spencer....he then followed it with some cheesy comment about spending the rest of our life together! I guess it worked because we didn't waste any time. 3 weeks later we were engaged!

4. Who is taller? Spencer by a foot. It's a good thing because if the puffy bangs ever came back into style, I'll be a foot taller. My bangs were so big that in 7th grade they went off the page.

5. Who is smarter? Dr. Miller!

6. Who is more sensitive? Me!! But to his credit, he is always so sensitive and aware of my feelings. His sisters did a good job teaching him how to read us crazy girls.

7. Who does the laundry? Me of course!

8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Spencer.

9. Who pays the bills? Me. We would have every credit agency up our backs if Spencer did it. He's notorious for forgetting deadlines--just ask him about nearly missing the MCAT.

10. Who cooks more? Me...but I owe everything I know to Spencer. He married me with ZERO cooking skills. When we were engaged I tried to surprise him with dinner. All I had to do was add water to this potato soup mix and I failed. For some reason it was terribly disgusting. We still laugh about it.

11. Who is more stubborn? This one is funny. We constantly fight over who is more stubborn. So, I guess it depends on who you talk to.

12. Who is the first to admit thy are wrong? Spencer. I love to be right. When President Monson was talking about marriage to a young man he said you have to remember to say three things,
"1. I love you 2. I'm sorry 3. You're right honey. The girl is ALWAYS right!

13. Who has more siblings? Me. I have 4 sisters, he has 3 sisters.

14. Who wears the pants in the relationship? I have one leg, and he has the other.

15. What do you like to do together? Play games! Every year we have a competition to see who can win the most games against the other. The loser has to plan our anniversary!! Spencer's lost every year!

16. Who eats more sweets? ME!! Spencer says chocolate runs in my blood.

17. Guilty Pleasures? I don't know....ESPN.com maybe?

18. How did you meet? Through our good friend Beau at Lori Lesberg's house!

19. Who asked whom out first? Well, we were going to eagle canyon with a bunch of our friends and one by one they all cancelled!! Leaving just me and Spencer! We spent the day at Eagle canyon and then went to Subway and Cold stone for dinner. We then met up with Sarah and George at Edwards and watched a movie. I have NO CLUE what movie it was...all I can remember were the butterfly's I had in my stomach. He held my hand for the first time as we walked into the movie theatre and kissed me on the cheek that night! ooooo la la!!!

20. Who kissed who first? Spencer definitely kissed me and my lovely Dad was there to see the show. We were kissing and all of a sudden the light outside my front door started flickering off and on. Yep, it was my Dad. He thought he was sooooo funny. I walked inside my house and both my parents were laughing hysterically.

21. Who proposed? Spencer proposed 5 weeks after our first date and 2 months after knowing each other. He was so nervous that for the hour drive up the canyon he didn't say A WORD. I continued to jabber away because I knew what was coming and was kind of nervous myself!

22. His best features and qualities? He has a cute butt!! And he is the kindest most sensitive person I know. He has always put our family before his studies. We can always count on him and he is super helpful around the house. He often gives me a break and cooks dinner or watches the kids for me! He has a big heart and would do anything for his family. He's our superman! When he has free time it is always spent with me and the boys!

23. Tag you’re it. Who do you tag? Erika and Kacey!

Reece's photography skills

Reece is always wanting to take pictures. He usually holds the camera up to his eye and takes a picture. Today I taught him how to take pictures of something besides his eye. Here is his work...

Benson's first real hair-cut!

Benson has had many trims, but we have never cut his whole head. I usually give up half-way into the cut because he never stops moving. Well, with the help of Reece and the boaster seat, we were able to give him a new handsome look. The fuzzy head is gone for at least a couple days. I'm sure it will return shortly.
