Jan. 2017

January seems to be a tough month for our family. We almost always have a child in the hospital during this month which helps us reach our out-of-pocket maximum early.  Kate started out with the croup and then it went into her lungs. Her oxygen started to drop and then she got pretty sick.  Without oxygen she was sitting in the low 80's and with oxygen she was in the low 90's.  We had to spend a couple nights in the hospital and then we got to come home. She was a pretty sick little girl and was not happy to be in the hospital. She cried non stop of the first 24 hours. I had a hard time with it. I ended up sleeping with her on the bed

Christmas break fun

Christmas break truly was awesome.  We had so much fun hanging around the house and doing fun activities. It was nice having the kids home, sleeping in, and just messing around together.  We enjoyed sledding in beautiful weather (my favorite was watching Tanner take care of Kate--he would help her sled down the hill and then carry her sled up for her), ski as a family, and just hang out together.

My Grandma and Grandpa Lloyd stopped by on their way to Arizona for the winter.  I sure love them. They have always been a big part of my life and I am grateful for their love and examples. They are hard working, service oriented, and loving people.
FAMILY SKI DAY!  We got a family ski pass to Alta Canyon Ski resort this year! Its been a great activity for our family. We usually get a babysitter for Kate and Tanenr for the morning, and then I came down the canyon and pick them up for an afternoon ski.  Spencer usually takes Tanner and the boys and they teach Tanner how to ski.  Tanner has been SO excited to learn how to ski and be with his brothers.  He has a great attitude and picks up on things quickly.  Some of our favorite things this year at the ski hill have been 1) their chicken strips and french fries are AMAZING, 2) having Tanner ski with us, 3) getting walkie-talkies for Christmas so we could split up on the ski hill and not get lost! The boys would go down a run while Spencer and I skied a different run. 4) Morning dates with Spencer on the ski hill before he had to go into work.

Benson and I created a really cool tunnel.  We got out Spencer hatchet and broke away all the ice until we made a cool tunnel.
