Easter!!

Happy Easter!  We had a wonderful Easter.  Benson had a long week due to his minor surgeries and so he stayed home with Spencer.  Our Young Women's lesson was on the Savior and it was a powerful lesson.  I feel so blessed to have a testimony of the gospel and of our Savior, Jesus Christ.  He gives me strength and is my friend.  Because of my testimony of his gospel and the plan of Salvation I have been blessed with three handsome boys and an amazing father and husband--our family would not be as strong as it is without the gospel.  Families are forever!

We enjoyed the afternoon at the Miller home.  We had a super fun secret we got to share!! Our brother-in-law has been in Texas training for the National Guard.  He was supposed to come home in two weeks but surprised Candice by coming home on Easter!  I cried at least 4 times about this reunion (once after I booked his air flight, twice as I thought about their reunion, third when I heard Candice open the door and    have her breath taken away as she looked at Kayle on the doorstep holding flowers, and then fourth as I thought of Candice's reaction when she saw Kayle).  We enjoyed a delicious family dinner, beautiful spring weather, and a scrabble game (Kristi beat Nicki and I).

I should add that my parents were in Arizona picking up my Mom's new Harley Motorcycle.  She said she can now turn 50 (which will be in October) because she is a Harley Grandma! I will post a picture of her shiny bike soon.

More fun pictures from Easter:

Reece absolutely loves the Sunday comics.  This is him in heaven.

Easter fun with the cousins

Spencer's guitar

My parents gave Spencer this guitar for graduation.  They actually gave it to him on match day so he could enjoy it before residency starts.  It has a beautiful tone and Spencer looks hot playing it!  I've always loved when Spencer sings.  He has a great voice.  I think he is quite attractive when he sings while playing his guitar.  I have been proud of him because he picked up a guitar book from my parents house and is teaching himself how to play.  It's been so nice to have him strumming his guitar while I work on indexing, blogging, and whatever else I need to do. Love ya babe!

Tanner Chad--5 months

Oh this little bundle of joy is so handsome we can't stand it.  Its a challenge to keep from over smooching these chunky cheeks.  He is becoming a mama's boy!  He loves to laugh, look at his hands, wake up at night (2-4 times a night) and loves to eat from mama--not the bottle.

Classic church story: It was my month to play the organ in March and so I would leave early for church to practice and Spencer would bring the boys closer to when church started.  The first 2 weeks didn't go very well--Tanner would be cranky and so Spencer would have to leave Reece and Benson on the bench alone while going back and forth from the pew to the hall.  On the 3rd Sunday I had a BRILLIANT idea.  I took Tanner with me to practice and then 15 minutes before I needed to start prelude my plan was to quickly feed him so he wouldn't be cranky.  Everything was going as planned until I took him out of his car seat to feed him and noticed his back was COVERED in poop. He had a MASSIVE blowout.  I left his car seat on the organ bench and raced to the phone to call Spencer (I needed a new outfit).  Then I raced to the nursing lounge to change his diaper.  As I took his clothes off his poop started to run down his neck and around his arms.  He was drenched in poop.  After using 15 wipes, throwing away his onsie, and then looking at his yellow stained skin I decided to give him a bath in the sink.  What I didn't realize is that the church didn't have warm water--I had to give him a cold bath.  I felt terrible for the little guy.  After his bath I put a diaper on, carried him into Sacrament meeting (I was 5 minutes late starting prelude) and handed my naked baby with not clothing or blankets to my dear friend Lesli.  I ran to the stage and brought his car seat and bag and put it on the pew thinking Spencer would see it.  Nope...after the Sacrament was passed I noticed a large section of a pew open and my family sitting 3 rows ahead of it.  I tried so hard to make things perfect that morning but everything went wrong.  At least I have a good story to share!

Friend Birthday Party

I know...you're thinking "geez, how many birthday parties does a kid need?"  Well, I'm 27 years old and I still take a whole week sometimes two to celebrate it so why not do it for my children!  They wait all year for their birthdays and so I want them to feel special and have fun during them.
These cupcakes were supposed to look like a baseball glove with a baseball in the middle.  Obviously it didn't turn out--but the kids didn't care because they were delicious! We had Aunt Natalie, Lauren, Cowen, Jace, and Brinlee over for a quick party.  We had lunch, cupcakes, and then opened presents.  After that we went to Monkey business to celebrate!! I asked Benson how it felt to be Four and he said, "Mom, I'm not four yet, I haven't gone to Monkey Business".  That was the only thing he wanted to do for his birthday.  He had a blast with his friends.  Reece was starting another asthma attack and so he sat next to me while everyone played and then we ran to the doctor between this party and U-swirl.  It was crazy fun!
Benson got "Mater's Tall Tales" his most favorite movie ever!
He laughs super hard every time he watches it! What a precious kid!

Family Birthday party

On Tuesday we had a family party for Benson.  We had pizza, cake, and ice cream but even better than that we had awesome company!  We love having some much family around.  We are going to miss them SOOO much when we move.  It makes me super sad thinking about it.  Our children are so blessed to have the best grandparents to love them and spoil them!

Benson got this fun table that you can write on with dry-erase markers

U-Swirl ice cream FHE party

We got a great deal for U-swirl ice cream and so we used half the deal for Reece's birthday and the other half for Bensons.  Although I really don't like their ice cream, the boys had a blast choosing their ice cream and toppings making it a fun birthday treat!
