Happy 2nd Birthday Tanner!
November 18, 2013
I'm not sure what happened--but somehow I forgot to take a million pictures on his special day (uncharacteristic of Mom). I wanted to throw a big party for Tanner but then Spencer made the point that he would probably be happier if we just had a family party. Tanner doesn't love having a million people over at the house. He also didn't get a cake because he hates cake and anything of the sort. So we gave him his favorite dinner (the same dinner he has every night): sweet potatoes and turkey baby food, apples and chicken baby food, and cereal! I think we got some chocolate chips in there too! Then we sang him Happy Birthday and had him open his presents. He LOVED opening his presents! You could tell he felt really special and was having a lot of fun.
We are so lucky to have Tanner in our family. He is such a fun, entertaining, and loving kid. He loves simple things and likes to tease. He loves taking baths at night and then reading books with Spencer in the rocking chair. He could read books all day long. He's a funny eater. He has to be distracted to eat. So when he's hungry he will run to our play room and grab either a book or puzzle and then put it on the table. That means it's food time! He doesn't talk a lot but he's a great communicator otherwise. You always know what he wants and he understands everything you are saying. He's a very bright and handsome little boy. We love you TANNER! Thanks for making our lives brighter!
