Road trip!

Where do I begin? Ok, May 1st the boys and I headed to Boise to start our crazy month long road trip. Spencer stayed in Moscow to finish his finals. Yep, that's right, we survived our first year of medical school. Spencer has done such an awesome job this year juggling family life and school work. It amazes me how much he has learned. But if I were to remember one thing from this year, it would be Reece and Benson waiving good-bye to Spencer every time he left for school. We would stand at the door and Reece would yell "bye bye Daddy, we love you. Go read books at school". And then right before Spence would get home Reece would climb up on his little red chair in his room and watch for Daddy to come home through his window. Then he would say, "mom, it's Daddy's white car" and take off running to the front door!

So we arrived in Boise in one piece (which is amazing because Benson literally was screaming the last 2 1/2 hours of the trip). Hobson and I threw a bridal shower for George and then the boys and I hopped back in our lovely van and drove to Utah (Kayla our cousin got married). Luckily that drive was fun. The boys were in great moods and were so stinkin' cute. We had so much fun in Utah that I told Spencer I want to move there. We LOVE the BYERS and were so excited to spend time with our good friends the George's and our awesome friends Natalie, Cheri and Alex squared! I seriously wanted to cry when we left Utah. We had way to much fun and hope to return soon!
Kayle was Reece's running buddy at the Temple! We love you Candice and Kayle!!
After Utah we drove to Rexburg. On our way we were able to visit my GREAT GRANDMA who is 90 years old and looks GREAT! We also stopped by my most favorite and well loved organ professor's house--Sister Parkinson. We LOVE her sooooo much! We then spent a day in Rexburg visiting Grandpa and Grandma Miller and then came back to Boise. Reece got pretty sick in Rexburg so we cut the trip a little short. Of course we can't go on a trip without visiting the Emergency Room. Reece was super dehydrated and so we got him an IV and after another week he got better!
Ok, this is to long. I'm going to stop this post and start another one! Sorry if you fell asleep during this!!!

How fun! You guys really were gone a long time and I'm so glad Benson is doing so well. You are doing a great job with him (and Reece) so take a breather and relax! And I know you said you thought that post was too long but it wasn't! I'm still anxious to see pictures from Kristi's wedding - my Mom said you looked really good...as usual. :) We're excited to see you tomorrow!
