MCCALL, IDAHO Grandpa and Grandma's Cabin
The beginning of August, I took the kids to my Grandpa Dunkley's cabin in McCall, Idaho. We had such a great time. It brought back many old memories. I spent many summers and winters at that cabin. It's a small little cottage, but was filled with so much fun and laughter. We would play the cabin game at night while eating ice cream, eat good food (and then do the dishes by hand), play at the lake, go boating, read, snowmobile, go to the hot springs, and just enjoy being with the family. Good times!

WE celebrate meeting our A1C goals by going somewhere fun after our appointments. Benson's favorite place is The Pizza Pie CAFE! It's pretty much heaven for a 9 yr old boy!
Back to School dates this year included, food, a trip to the book store, and some new shoes!
Our wonderful friends from Minnesota came to visit! Wee miss them so much! The HULLS were some of the greatest people we knew there.
Kate is adorable as ever!
Hike to Catherine Lake in Little Cottonwood canyon--as we were hiking I got a phone call from my Mother that my Dad was going into open heart surgery the next morning. I finished the hike with the kids, came home and packed, and as soon as Spencer was off work we headed to Boise. Dad said having Spencer there was the biggest blessing. He was able to calm his nerves and explain everything that was going on. He was also able to watch over everything. He stayed the night in the ICU with my Dad which was a big blessing because my Mom was exhausted and needed some sleep.

We reserved a camp spot in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Luckily, we were there for 2 days. The first night we had a bon fire and then went back home to sleep. The second night, we had to let a friend take over because we went to Boise for my Dad's surgery.
While visiting Boise during Dad's surgery, the kids went rabbit hunting and had the time of their lives.
We came home for the partial eclipse. We were about 90% covered.
