Spring Break 2017

We had an awesome spring break. We worked hard (we cleaned every morning so we started the day with a fresh clean house--which equals a happy mama!) and then we played. Here are some things we did:
The ice cream truck came and these kids went wild! They ran to their rooms, got their piggy banks out, and paid WAY TO MUCH for some ice cream bars. But, they were happy!
After the ice cream truck we started making home made pizza.  Kate ended up going into anaphylactic shock and so I left all the kids at home and rushed her to the hospital. I gave her one epi-pen at home and then had to give another at the hospital.  I wasn't sure what she reacted too-- at first I thought we had some cross contamination with the cheese on the pizza, but 2 weeks later we were eating ham and she had another anaphylaxsis and so we put two and two together and realized she's allergic to Pork. I took her to the allergist and told him we needed to test her to see if there were other allergies we weren't aware of.  When I told him she was allergic to pork, his exact words were "that can't be, no one is allergic to pork-- it's a very rare allergy". I assured him that she was allergic and when the test came back super positive I wanted to say "told you so!"
The next day we went to the Zoo with Tucker and the cousins. It was a beautiful warm day. We loved it-- and especially loved watching the kids run around enjoying the fresh spring air.
Tanner considers himself a "wolfie" so naturally he picked the wolf and his heart was so HAPPY!

We also spent a day at our favorite museum--the Museum of Curiosity.  The kids LOVE this place so much! After a couple hours we went to the Natural History Museum and watched what we thought was going to be a cool movie but ended up being a totally LAME movie promoting Global warming.

After the museum and the movie we stopped by the library and picked up some comic books-- as you can see they were all hooked and the place was dead quiet! haha
We spent a day playing in the mountains in our backyard. We hiked the Bells Canyon trail and the kids LOVED it! There were a lot of switch backs which allowed them to hide and be crazy.
After the hike we came home and enjoyed the slackfline. The kids somehow convinced me to get on the roof-- their favorite thing to do.  Being outside makes our family happy!

 PARK CITY SKI TRIP!
My Dad invested in Marriott hotels and so we get hotels for dirt cheap! We looked at the website and found a HUGE condo for $99/night. It came with a fully stocked kitchen, separate bedroom, and huge living room. We were honestly in heave.  When we bought our family ski pass through Alta it came with 2 free tickets (per person) to Deer Valley and so we decided to take a little trip to Park City and enjoy the cheap hotel and free ski tickets! And....can I just tell you how much fun Deer Valley was! We had the resort to ourselves and it was super fancy.  I felt like a famous person skiing there.  There were multi-million dollar cabins next to all the ski runs with really beautiful cabins and fun things for us to look at.  The kids said we have to do this trip again next year because it was a total blast! Plus--spending time with these kids is a pure joy. They are hilarious, adventurous, and so fun!
