More December Photos

Honestly, December was pretty great.  I tried to keep things simple and not over-book my family.  Its a miracle, but I actually did it! We had fun, but we weren't running around like chickens with our heads cut off.  It was a beautiful month filled with lots of fun and love.  Here are some things we did:
Played in the snow A LOT!!!
Went sledding and snow skiing
Went shopping with Spencer
(first weekend in Dec):
Spencer and I went to Lakeview Hospitals Christmas party-- I was seriously so giddy about this--like giddy for weeks! Spencer moonlights at Lakeview.  It felt like we actually had a real job! It was the first time I actually felt like we were real grown ups with a real job and a real Christmas company party.  I know its not that big of a deal-- but to me it was.  IT helped that two of our friends from Mayo were there too.  It was a beautiful night and we had SOOO MUCH FUN being real adults!
Benson and I went to the Utah Symphony
Spencer and Reece went to a Utah Jazz game
(2nd weekend in Dec):
Ju went to Minnesota with friends
Grandma Blo came and watched kids
Went to Temple Square and looked at lights
Had ski lessons and chess club
Candice, Kayle, and the girls living with us for a while
(3rd weekend in Dec):
Ski lessons and chess club
Spencer, Chad, Kayle, Reece and Benson went to a BYU basketball game
Mormon Tabernacle Christmas Concert-- Spencer spent one night putting all our siblings names, parents and a couple friends names into the drawing for tickets.  He ended up with 10 tickets so we took Reece, Benson, Candice, Kayle, Nicki, Chad, and Bryce and Dani.  It was another magical night with our kids.  It melted my heart to see the boys enjoying the performance.  Espcially during the really awesome organ solo.  Benson leaned into me and said, "I bet I know what instrument is your favorite". He said the funniest thing all night long.  It was also great to catch up with Bryce and Dani-- they are one of our all time favorite people.  We want to be like them when we grow up.
(4th weekend in Dec)
Enjoying Christmas
sledding
lots of movies

After Christmas--
Sledding
Mom and Dad anniversary Date to The Roof! This is one of our favorite places to eat.  WE had a table next to the window that looked right out to the SLC Temple. It was a beautiful night.
The weekend after New Years we went to Rexburg for Great Grandma Miller's funeral.  She lived to be 92 years old.  She had such a sweet and tender heart.  She never said a bad thing about anyone (except Bill Clinton).  That night we went to Shelley, ID for my cousin Heathers wedding reception.  Kate was TERRIBLE in the hotel room on Friday night so we decided to drive home after the reception to avoid another long night in the hotel room.  It was worth the drive and we all slept peacefully in our own beds.
