Conference

We got a last minute surprise visit from Spencer's parents this weekend (they actually told us on Tuesday but it was still a wonderful surprise)! Chad had a couple tickets to conference and decided to come down for it.  I was able to take Reece for the first time to the 2nd session on Saturday.  It was a historic session where they called three new apostles and released Spencer's mission president, Don Clarke from the seventy.  The 3 new apostles are: Elder Rasband, Elder Stevenson, and Elder Renlund.

Spencer and his Dad attended the Priesthood session together and then Chad and Nicki attended the Sunday morning session.

Taking Reece to conference was such a wonderful experience.  He was so excited and had lots of fun questions.  He was so impressed how each speaker and the children singing in the choir "glowed".  He couldn't believe how big the conference center was.  He was giddy throughout the entire 2 hours.  He kept commented on the speakers and asking random questions about conference.  He had a notebook and drew all kinds of pictures while listening.  I think I was just as giddy as he was.  We had some good one-on-one time together and it was a special experience to be with him in the conference center as we sustained 3 new apostles.
