We love Minnesota Winters!

Okay-- so my kids LOVE Minnesota winters because there is so much fun to be had in the snow. I love winter until the temperatures are consistently in the negatives-- then it's to cold to shop and that is no fun! One of the kids most favorite things to do is play on the big snow hills at their school.  Most Friday's after school we would stay and play for a while.  There were a couple days I was worried they were going to get frost bite because the wind chill was in the negatives.  They assured me they were warm and continued playing.  They also like to make ice weapons and then use them as "ice chalk".  It fun to see them use their creative juices.

Tanner is also hilarious.  He is obsessed with shoveling the snow.  He's actually very helpful.  He will do the sidewalks for me or help me on the driveway so it doesn't take so long.  He's a great helper!

On most school days Benson would come home, drop his backpack inside the house, and play outside until I made him come in.  One day I was cooking dinner when Reece came inside to tell me I "had to take a picture of Benson".  That is not a normal request in our house (other than by me) and so I knew this was going to be good.  I went outside to see only Benson's face-- he had covered his whole body in snow! I took a picture and then started the snow blower to clear the driveway.  The kids went inside while I finished my job.

About halfway through Reece comes outside yelling "Mom- you gotta come inside and see this".  I went inside to see glass all over the floor.  The kids were playing football and it knocked one of our picture frames down.  To be honest, most of our picture frames in our house no longer have glass because of instances like this one.  We cleaned it up and then carried on our activities. This seemed to be a typical day in the Miller home!
