I've had the opportunity to serve with these wonderful Young Women! They are such strong and courageous girls. This was one week after Kate was born-- Young Women in Excellence.
Reece and Benson are hardly Minnesota Kids. They come home from school, drop their backpacks in the mud room, and then go play outside. It can be 0 degrees and they will still play outside. Minnesota winters can be unbearable cold, but when you have a lot of snow to play it it makes it quite fun! This is what it looks like seconds after the kids walk in the door. All three of them end up on top of each other in a "dog pile"!
I wanted to take a selfie with all my kids and this is what I got…… Thanks boys for making the picture real!
Tanner-man got sick. He's such a trooper. This one has really gotten to him and made him feel miserable. There is something so sweet about a little kid who doesn't feel well. I just want to wrap him up and cuddle with him.
I LOVE my front porch with my darling Santa goose! It makes me smile whenever I see it.
I had this awesome helper shovel the driveway with me. He's pretty darn awesome!
And then we played some monopoly-- his favorite game and one of my fav's when I was his age.
Thanksgiving dinner-- a couple days late. We have the best record for being sick on Thanksgiving and Christmas. For the past two Christmas parties either Reece or Tanner has thrown up right before prayer (both at Esplins house), 2 Thanksgiving ago we were all sick, and last Thanksgiving Spence was working. We were super excited for this years Thanksgiving because Spencer had the day off and we were going to spend it with our best friends--Rutledges, Allens, and Ormes. We woke up that morning and Benson had a fever and felt horrible. We all felt bad for Benson…. but I also felt bad for Spencer because it's his favorite holiday. So I took Reece, Tanner, and Kate to the party and then a couple days later we had a family dinner to satisfy Spencer's love of leftovers from Thanksgiving.
