We are sooooo excited for Summer! Bring on the fun and sun! It's been a long and extremely cold winter so we are ready to party and enjoy the outdoors. Here are some pictures from our last week of school:
Me and Benson. We read everyday together and our favorite spot when it's warm outside it on the swing in the backyard. It's been a fun bonding time for both of us. He's such a fun and awesome boy!Our walking crew! Ali Nickolous, Adam Orme, Ethan our neighbor, Max Allen, Caden Gillette, and the Millers! What really happens is all the kids run to school and the moms follow in our strollers chatting away about all kinds of fun things. We all love the exercise and socializing aspect of our trips.
Benson, Caden, and Max-- Kindergarten
Reece and Adam-- 2nd Grade
Tanner--2 years old and can never decide if he wants to be in or out of the stroller!
We wait for Benson to get off the bus every afternoon-- Tanner calls all buses "Ben-Ben bus". He usually runs after Benson when he sees his bus.
The latest neighborhood craze is Pokemon. The mothers are all flabbergasted about this because it was popular when we were kids. They all have their binders and cards that they bring to school. Sometimes it causes a real hold-up on our walk.
Benson was lucky to have Mrs. Brown as his Kindergarten teacher. She was fun, witty, and very patient. He also had his two best friends--Carson and Max in his class.
For Kindergarteners they get to ride the bus home form school-- which made Mom's life a little easier. Mrs. Elaine-- the school nurse. She LOVED Benson. She was so kind, thoughtful, and patient in helping Benson become more independent with his diabetes care. They have a wonderful relationship and we are so blessed to have her in our school.
Mr. McKay. He was the perfect teacher for Reece. He was patient, kind, and shared Reece's same sense of humor. He was an excellent 2nd teacher and I know Reece is really going to miss him next year.
