Boise Part 2

After Spencer left we spent the next three weeks taking swim lessons, playing with cousins, waterskiing, going out to dinner, running the Snack Shack, more swimming, and pretty much just running around the Dunkley Ranch exploring and having all kinds of fun adventures.  Here are some pictures of things we did.

Feed the ducks.

Myla

Lots of BBQ's and being silly with Myla.  The boys shared a room with Myla and they pretty much stayed up all night talking, being sneaky, bouncing on each others beds, and then finally after the parentals turned their lights off they drifted off to sleep!
My Mom had her first annual "Grandma Camp".  The sisters weren't allowed to be at the camp so we enjoyed a wonderful day together.  We started out with pedicures, then ate lunch, and ended the day with a great shopping trip at the mall.  Usually I have a time restriction or a couple kids with me so I NEVER EVER score while shopping.  But this time was different! No pressure, no kids, and just a whole lot of fun.  I got a new pair of shoes, make up, and maternity capris.  It was seriously an adrenaline rush.  We then met up with my parents and the kiddos at Red Robin for dinner.  We had to end the day with a trip to Toys R Us because any kind of date with my Mom always ends up there.  I don't know anyone who loves taking kids to the toy store more than my mom.  The kids each picked out a toy and headed home for a good nights rest!
Oh and for Grandma Camp they did all kinds of fun things.  They swam, played fun games, did art projects, ate yummy treats from the snack shack, and watched a little movie.

Hawks Baseball game with Erika and her kids, Grandma and Grandpa Lloyd, Grandma Blo, and the cousins.

SOOOO IMPRESSED! Reece and Benson were all-stars and went into the field with the massive cows to feed them oats.  One of their favorite parts was spraying them with fly-spray to get all the flies off.  The cows would start jumping all over the place.  They thought it was hilarious--I was scared!
Their own little cars--you don't need a drivers license for these.  They thoroughly enjoyed driving them up and down the driveway.  Everytime Tanner would drive past me he would get this big grin on his face and say, "Hi Mommy" and then continue on his way.  It was darling.
Annual Diabetic Swim party.
Every year we have a bunch of kids who have type 1 diabetes over for a swim party.  Most of the kids have pumps and really enjoy being around other kids with the diabetes.  We had a great turn out this year--the parents especially enjoyed sharing stories and getting advice on different issues.
Swim Swim Swim!
Natty is an awesome Aunt and spent a lot of time playing with the boys and putting up with their craziness!

Tanner is under the assumption that after you swim you eat chips!

This year was quite awesome.  The only sad part was that Spencer couldn't be with us.  I felt terrible about it because the boys were so much fun.  They were little pyros and helped with lighting the fireworks.  Before we started our show we all helped my Dad pick Raspberries from his massive Raspberry patch.  Benson enjoyed eating them the most! Then my Mom let the boys run on the pool cover.  They would run off the ledge yelling "cannonball" and would land on the cover and then make big waves underneath.  They all thought they were rebellious little boys and had the time of their life doing it!  It was a beautiful night filled with great memories.

Dad's Birthday! I convinced my Mom that we NEEDED my favorite chocolate cake from Costco for my Dad's birthday.  We got it the night before and I just couldn't resist taking a bite.  So I took a fork and started digging from the bottom.  I would put the fork in the cake, turn it around and pull cake from the inside so no one could see there was cake missing.  The only problem was after I was done the cake started to collapse on the side I was eating from.  I didn't say anything and then when my Mom was putting candles on the cake she said, "look at this cake--it's lopsided".  I bursted out laughing and was caught red handed. It was hilarious!

Reece and Benson earned a lot of money working at the Snack Shack.  They sold ice cream bars and made snow cones during swim lessons.  At one point no one was buying anything so Reece started putting the ice cream bars out in the open for "advertisement".  They were awesome workers and had a blast doing it.

Reece and Baby London.
My Mom surprised them on the day we boarded the airplane for Minnesota and gave them all the money they had collected that day at the snow shack to spend on something fun in the airport.  I thought we would save the money and use it in the Denver airport when we had more time but they literally saw the first store in the Boise airport and ran in to claim their prize.  They found pens that said, "IDAHO" on them and were sold!
We got into Rochester at Midnight and the boys slept in the next day until 10:30am.  We may have had just a little too much fun on our vacation to Boise.  We are grateful for all the love we received from our family and friends.  Our boys were given a lot of great opportunities to grow and learn and feel the love from those around them.  Until next time--peace out Boise!
