It was bitter-sweet leaving. Bitter: because we had to leave our family (both Spencer and I are grateful to have awesome in-laws) and Sweet: because we get to start a new chapter in our lives. We feel like we have landed in a gold-mine here in Rochester, MN. I will post more about it later.
Top 5 list of things we will miss in BOISE:
1. Family: Our families ROCK! Seriously. We have the best Grandparents for our children and we love to spend time with them. Sunday dinners will most likely be the biggest thing I will miss. Spending quality time while eating delicious food. We also have tons of awesome sisters who are our best buddies. We feel blessed our children were able to spend so much time with our families and build strong relationships with them. They are such positive influences. Our families ROCK!2. Free babysitters: Spencer and I went on many dates these past two years thanks to both our families for watching our boys. It was always a win-win. The kids were spoiled and we spent quality time together.
3. Friends: I was so sad to say good bye to my friends. Friends from our ward and friends from High School. We had some crazy get-togethers at my house--the mass amount of kids made it entertaining.
I will miss all the good laughs we had together.
4. Schedule: Spencer had a SWEET schedule this past year. Unfortunately he came home with a pager last week and starts his inpatient rotation on Saturday. Say good-bye to him for a month. I'm going to miss him coming home by five everyday. It sure was nice having him around--he's a keeper! He even went grocery shopping for me because I honestly hate grocery shopping. He likes it because we actually have food in our home when he does the shopping. I usually come home with hardly anything.
5. Swimming: Summer is so much fun in Boise. Swimming EVERYDAY. Waterskiing. Riding bikes. Picnics outside on the lawn. It's paradise. Summer in Boise is 3 months of pure FUN! We decided the boys and I are coming home for three weeks every summer so I can make every summer complete!
LOVE YOU BOISE!! Only 6-7 years until the Miller family will return.
As for right now, we are loving Rochester. Its the perfect place for us to do our residency training. I'm excited to tell you all about this place. More to come in the next few days.
Love,
Juliann
