Seriously--they don't come more handsome then this! Benson turned FOUR last week so we had to celebrate. First I'm going to start off with my TOP FIVE REASONS I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BENSON! (everyone should be able to brag about their children on their birthdays!)
1) He is so sweet. He loves to play with my hair, rub my neck, and snuggle.
2) He makes everyone laugh. He memorizes the funniest lines from movies and laughs so hard when sharing them with us. When he's in trouble he creatively comes up with ways to make me laugh when I'm trying to be mad at him.
3) He is brave. It still amazes me how well he deals with his diabetes. He doesn't cry when I stick a needle in his bum cheek every three days, he happily gives me a finger to poke 5-7 times a day, and he takes the best care of his pump named Buddy. He tells me "ONE" when he eats something and then will keep counting food as he eats it. He's an all-star and I am very proud of his maturity and ability to be so brave in conquering his diabetes.
4) He's intelligent. He memorizes quickly. I told him my phone number the other day and after repeating it three times he had it memorized. We the moved onto our address which he conquered with ease. He loves books. Every night he wants us to read books to him. He's trying hard to learn the words and is falling in love with reading. His favorite books are the funny ones!! One of his more popular books to read is "Those darn Squirrels". Its a darling book that will make you laugh.
5) He loves church. Last year in Nursery whenever they would show a picture of the Temple he would say in a loud and deep voice, "come to the Temple". Apparently the other children adopted his saying making it a nursery tradition. He loves primary and is working on memorizing the Articles of Faith (he just passed off the 1st and is now working on the 2nd).
I LOVE you BENSON!! You are my little sunshine and bundle of Joy! Love, Mom
