4th fireworks

Every time I hear the National Anthem I always shed a tear--or two!
Spencer loves to bring up the time when we were at a BYU football game listening to the National Anthem and I was standing next to him sobbing--literally sobbing. Not just a tear, but the whole sounds effects and shortness of breath that come with sobbing. But please, take into consideration I was pregnant and had some extra hormones running through me.

But to be honest, I do LOVE our country and I am Proud to be an American!
I feel very blessed to live in such a beautiful and free land.
I am grateful for our heritage and for the brave and courageous men who sacrificed so much for us to have the freedoms we enjoy every day. God bless the USA!!

For the past couple of years I have told myself I was going to make the "flag dessert" for the 4th of July. This year I decided to stop yacking about it, and just do it!! It was delicious and I was super excited I FINALLY made it.

Classic pictures of Benson and Reece.

I love my Grandparents laugh in this picture! They are SUPER awesome!

Reece was pretty low-key during the fireworks (he swam all day and was tired).
I love the fingers in his ears and the Popsicle mustache!

We found this box of fireworks stuffed in an old desk Spencer used as a kid. Spencer thought he had died and gone to heaven when we found it!! He used to spend ridiculous amounts of money each year so he could put on a show for the neighborhood. He is a pyro at heart and was super giddy to use his old fireworks!

SPARKLERS!

Spencer and Benson having fun with the Sparklers! They were cute together!
