This turkey is my Mom's turkey. She raises turkeys each year and then slaughters them just before Thanksgiving. This big guy got out a week ago and ended up less than a mile down the road. The funny thing about the article is it states that there aren't any farms in the area, but they have a big sign in front of their house that states "Fresh Turkeys for Sale". I guess he decided that since he didn't receive a pardon, he was going to make a prison break.
This turkey may have "ruined" Thanksgiving but will make for a Merry Christmas!
(this is a post I stole off of my Aunt's blog--but I thought it was hilarious! This would only happen to my parents!).

That is just too funny!!
We had a good laugh about that over here. I hope your parents got their turkey today. Happy Thanksgiving!
HAHAHAHA! That is HILARIOUS. I wish I could've been there at the Dunkley household to see you guys read this in the newspaper and you guys would all crack up and never stop laughing (and probably pee your pants.) This is just such a Dunkley moment for ya...I LOVE IT! And I can't believe you guys are going to "make it" a Merry Christmas! I think the turkey deserves a break, I mean he did everything in his power to break away from the dinner table. So please Karen Dunkley, pardon the Turkey Trotter!
