Byer's Cabin-- Canada

One of our families favorite trips is to the Byer's Cabin. We LOVE LOVE LOVE it there.  The scenery is beautiful and the company is awesome.  This year we had Spencer's entire family minus Clarissa and Darrin (who we missed soooo much!).  We spent most of the week on the lake-- riding the jet skis to the birds nest, playing on the floaties, going to the dock and playing on the slide, throwing rocks in the lake, reading books/magazines, riding in the canoe, swimming to the rocks, waterskiing behind the jet ski, tubing behind the jet ski, and having LOADS of fun with the cousins.

Dunkley Music--65 years

Dunkley Music has been on Capital Blvd for 65 years. Its a landmark in the Boise downtown area.  My Father just sold the land to a developer who is going to tear down the building and replace it with a 10 story Marriott hotel. There is a lot of family history and memories in this building.  My Grandpa and Grandma starting the business in 1950 and now it's the largest music store in Idaho.  My father grew up working there as a child and now owns it, and I also grew up working there as a teenager. Lots of memories and LOTS of piano recitals in this building.  We thought we'd take a family picture before it was torn down.

Boise weekend trip

We took a detour in a drive to Canada this year.  Spencer's 2nd mom, Lori Leseberg (Drew's mom) died unexpectantly so we went to her funeral in Boise and then went to the cabin.  We were there for my 31st birthday and so we just HAD to go WATERSKIING!! It was a great day on the lake! Reece had a blast driving the boat (including driving Spencer and I while we were surfing), Kate loving the boat, Benson and Reece surfing with Dad for the first time and loving it!, me waterskiing for the first time in 2 years, and having fun with Kristi and her family.

 Spent our Sunday at the Miller's.  Two things my kids LOVE to do at Grandma and Grandpa Millers house: Popsicles and Baseball!!!
