March 2014

Tanner-man is darling with his breathing treatments.  He gets all snuggled into the couch and holds it up to his nose while watching Micky Mouse Clubhouse.  Its the same routine every time (well, at least half of the time he sits on my lap and snuggles with me while watching his show which I LOVE!).
A year ago when Tanner was having all his food issues, we finally were able to get him to start eating by distracting him.
We got a whole lot of snow this year.  It didn't melt until mid-April.  Reece and Benson have thoroughly enjoyed it.  They can step on the tree in our front yard and climb it super high! They also have snow tunnels, and play American Ninja Warrior on all the snow hills.
Benson was a SUPER STAR and taught his Kindergarten class all about Type 1 diabetes.  We read a book, showed them how he tests his blood sugar, and then showed them how he gives himself insulin with his pump.  The kids were fascinated and Benson was a very courageous while teaching them.  We celebrated with a trip to Culvers for Ice cream!
Daddy and Tanner joined us which made the trip even better!
Tanner man and Mom! He's my little buddy in the morning--he runs all my errands with me!

Reece's snow tunnel
Benson at Costco-- our favorite place to shop and eat!
Tanner is obsessed with wearing a tie.  He gets so excited every Sunday.  He gets me his tie, and then says, "Hoop… ball".  Those are his favorite toys in nursery.
For Valentines Day I decorated the boys doors with hearts and then with a bigger heart with things that I think they are good at. Love these little boys of mine!
Our first snowman.  We have had snow since December but it wasn't good snowman building snow.  Finally towards the end of March we were able to build a giant snowman!
One of Tanner's favorite activities is painting.
Perplexis Epic. It's the new game that all the Miller boys (including Spencer) are obsessed with.  It's an eye-hand coordination game which is super addicting.  You try and get a ball to go through different mazes.
Benson had a late-night Birthday party so his buddy Max could come.  Max was out of town for his real birthday party so we had a fun little party for him. This is them watching a movie with the big pillow pets. He is so blessed to have such wonderful friends. Chase Hull, Carson Wilcox, and Max Allen.
Tanner loves to play in the kitchen.  He lines things up, puts the dishes away from the dishwasher, and plays bubbles in the sink.
Happy St. Patricks Day!

Clarissa, Darrin, and their children came to visit us from Omaha, NE.  We got to watch Joselyn for the day while Clarissa and Darrin took the boys to Mall of America.  Tanner was in LOVE with Joselyn.  He was so gentle and kind.  He would bring her toys and would make her laugh.  He was darling.

Tanner, Daddy, and Tanner's "baby" rabbit.  For some reason he calls his bunny "baby".  He has to sleep with the baby, binky, and special blanket every night.
Reece and Dad making his pine wood derby car.  We are so excited to have Reece in scouts. He has a great troop and awesome leaders.
Favorite picture ever!
Reece won 2nd place in the Wolves tournament.  He was soooo excited his car raced well.  Him and Spencer spent many hours on that car! They sanded it, painted it, drilled holes to put the weights in, and took a couple trips to Hobby Lobby to check out the Pine wood derby section to improve their vehicle!

February Fun

Some of our friends build an ice skating rink in their backyard! They had us over for FHE and so we skated the night away! The boys caught on really fast.  I was impressed!
WAY TO MUCH SNOW!!! The snow just keeps on coming.  The boys have a blast in it because they come home everyday in their full snow gear and so they spend a good amount of time playing in it before they come inside.
Benson and Max Allen-- best little buddies.  Max lives across the street so when Benson finished his after school activities (piano, reading, and extra homework) then he usually has a friend over.
Reece's first day of SCOUTS!!! CUB SCOUTS here we come!
We had a date a couple weeks after his baptism-- he received a gift card to Barnes and Noble for $30 from our neighbors and so we spent the evening picking out books.  He got a warriors book and a Garfield book.  We ended the night with a bang at Cherry blossoms for some ice creams!
Reece loves basketball-- this is his team from the year.

 Reece's favorite-- imagine that?

Reece's Baptism!!

Feb 22nd, 2014

Reece had a beautiful Baptism.  He was well prepared and ready for the covenants he made with our Heavenly Father.  He invited many of his friends and neighbors-- many of which came.  We also were blessed to have Grandma and Grandpa Dunkley and Grandpa Miller come from Idaho for the big event!  The day before his baptism there was a massive storm which almost caused the Dunkley's to miss it.  But they were troopers and got a rental car and drove (and sat on the freeway for a long time) until they made it safe and sound!

We arrived at the church early so we could make sure everything was set up and Reece was ready to go.  As people started to show up, he would grab a program and welcome everyone who came.  It was fun to see him so excited and grown up.  During Grandpa Dunkley's baptism talk he was asked a bunch of questions and then Benson was in charge of holding Grandpa's phone-- when the timer hit 5 minutes Benson had to raise his hand.  I thought it was brilliant to include Benson, it made him feel special as well.

Reece's baptism went really well.  Spencer baptized him and then confirmed him.  He said the water was really warm.  I was afraid the two of them would take forever to get changed-- which they did-- so that part made me a little nervous.  Luckily I had some extra Mormon Message videos to play while we waited.

After the baptism we had everyone over at our house for lunch.  It was a nice environment-- and you could tell Reece felt extra loved.  Then Reece and the Grandparents went to his soccer game while we cleaned up.  Then we went to the Movie Theatre and saw "The Lego Movie" which was a huge success (both grandpa's slept through the entire movie!"  We were going to finish the day off with dinner but Reece was exhausted and wanted to go home. We ordered pizza (he wanted Roman Noodles), came home, and relaxed the remainder of the evening.

The happiest I saw Reece that day was after he got baptized and then right before we ate dinner after him and Spencer had a nice Father/Son talk.  I wish I would have taken a picture of his face after their talk-- he looked so happy! It made my whole day.

Here are some pictures from the day:
