Halloween Night 2015

Halloween was on a saturday this year.  Spencer was lucky to have the day off so we spent it together as a family. We started off the day cleaning up the house and then went to Orem for a ski swap.  We stopped by Culvers for lunch which is always a treat.  We don't eat out as a family much due to allergies and budgets, so it was fun to be together.  Kate was a charmer and was making everyone around us laugh.

Then we went to the ski swap and got Reece and Benson snow boots and skis.  They were so excited! Lets be honest, I was so EXCITED! I have fond memories skiing with family and friends during my childhood. I'm excited to teach the boys and get them on the mountain and active during the winter months.

We came home and worked in the garage.  Spencer put our bikes on a pulley system on the garage ceiling. I always feel like I need to take a picture when we do home projects because they don't happen very often!  The kids played outside and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather.  We are LOVING the Fall this year.  Minnesota's fall was too short!

We had dinner and then got the kids ready to trick-or-treat! We didn't have to wear coats this year-- a huge bonus from the last three years.  The kids were sooooo much fun to watch.  They would say Trick-or-treat and then as they were running away would either say Thank you or Happy Halloween.  They got a ton of good candy.  Reece and Benson were really cute and traded candy with each other so Reece didn't have any that he was allergic too. Spencer and I had a bunch of candy we traded with Reece and Tanner too so they could eat all their treats!

And the best part of the night was when the boys told me they had made a pile of candy just for me! They both collected as many Almond Joys as they could because they are my favorite candies.  I don't eat them during the year, other than Halloween because of the Almonds.  But the boys allergy to Almonds is mild so it's the only "nut" that we allow ourselves to eat.  They do a good job taking care of their mommy!
Halloween Costumes 2015
Reece--White ninja
Benson-- Darth maul from Star Wars
Tanner-- Green ninja
Kate-- "the pretties pumpkin in the patch"
Reece got "choppy" for his birthday last year. It's a remote control helicopter and is super fun.  We were at Costco (the trip when Kate received the epi-pen) and Benson found a remote control droid.  He fell in love and decided to spend his own money to pay for it.  Since we didn't get anything the day before at Costco because of Kate, we went back the next day and Benson brought his money to buy it. He was SOOO super excited. It was like Christmas morning to him.  The two boys have had a lot of fun flying their helicopter and droids!
