Reece's 8th Birthday!

February 16th, 2014

We had a skylander themed birthday party.  We made element packs which we filled with candy (which was a huge hit with the boys), played Skylander Bingo, had a basketball Tournament (Adam took 1st and Reece took 2nd), opened presents, and ate yummy cake and ice cream!  At the end we played a little Wii Mario cart.  It was a big success celebrating a fun and great birthday!

HUGE THANK YOU TO THESE LOVELY LADIES!!!

My Mom and Grandma stayed with the boys for an entire week while Spencer and I partied in Hawaii. I think everyone had a little to much fun because the week after was meltdown central (including for the mama bear!).  I seriously need a vacation after a big vacation like that.  

So the kids thought they were in heaven with the Grandma's.  They were spoiled with lots of new skylanders, date nights with Grandma, and a trip to Mall of America.  They also spoiled me and made me a beautiful new quilt for my bed and replaced my kitchen and bathroom rugs (which we have had for almost a decade!). 

Spencer and I are so grateful to have my Mom and Grandma here with our kids.  It's a big task to take care of these cute kids.  Everyones big question when we came home was "were there any big emergencies while you were gone?".  We were happy to report my Mom did awesome and the boys were healthy and safe! No emergency rooms--- or big medical problems! Yea!
